Adipurush: Cast, Budget, Shooting & Release Date

Prabhas is currently one of the most celebrated Indian actors with back-to-back pan India hits. With ‘Bahubali-The Conclusion’ becoming a humongous success there is a lot of hype around the upcoming film projects of Prabhas. Back in the year 2020, Prabhas made an official announcement that for his next film he will be teaming up with Bollywood director Om Raut. This film is going to be shot in a 3D format and the title for the film is finalized as Adipurush.

Since the first-look poster of the film was unveiled in August 2020, a lot of hype has been generated around the film. The shooting for the film went to floors on February 2 in the presence of the cast and crew and Prabhas has also confirmed the same by tweeting about this along with the logo of the film. Adipurush is going to be a big-budget film which is produced by Bhushan Kumar, CMD of T-Series. Saif Ali Khan is also a part of the film and will be seen playing the role of the antagonist.

What Adipurush Is All About?

Adipurush is the upcoming pan India film starring Prabhas in the lead role. This film is said to be the adaptation of the life of the Indian epic god lord Sri Ram who is also addressed as Adi Purusha according to Hindu mythology. In this film, Prabhas will be seen playing the role of Lord Rama and Saif has been cast to play the role of the antagonist Lankesh, the demon King Ravan. While coming to the female lead, a lot of speculations have been doing rounds and the film’s crew officially tweeted that Kriti Sanon has been finalized for the lead female role in the film.

A Big Budget Film with Avatar and Star Wars VFX Supervisors

According to the trusted sources, this film is going to be made on a whopping budget of Rs 400 crore. A large of the money is going to be spent on the VFX department as the entire film is going to be shot in a 3-D format. Most of the scenes of this film would be shot using green mat technology which is usually seen in many popular Hollywood films like the Avengers. One interesting aspect of the film is that VFX supervisors of Avatar and Star Wars are going to be a part of this film.

Adipurush Release Date

Adipurush is expected to be released on August 11, 2022. Prabhas has also confirmed the release date of the film in the month of November last year.
