Quentin Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963, in Knoxville, Tennessee in the USA. Being the old child in his family, Tarantino developed an interest in films from a very young age. Also, as a child, Tarantino was never interested in school and he liked spending most of his time watching movies or reading comics. Having dropped out from school, Tarantino went on to work at an adult film theatre alongside taking acting classes. Later he worked alongside Roger Avary, who shared his passion for film and the duo went on some script ideas.

In the year 1990, Tarantino joined a production company named Cinetel and from there he got the script for the film True Romance from director Tony Scott and then acquired the rights to it.

In the year 1992, Tarantino worked on his directorial debut, Reservoir Dogs for which he also worked as the screenwriter. Upon its release, the film was reviewed highly positively by the audience. The success of this film made him one of the most in-demand directors in the Hollywood film industry.

Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar Win for ‘Pulp Fiction:

The year 1994 was a successful year for Tarantino as he has directed an Oscar awarding film titled ‘Pulp Fiction’. The film was totally an unpredictable thrill ride for the audience and the plot revolves around multiple storylines including a hitman assigned to look after his boss’s girlfriend, whereas another part examined Vega’s partnership with fellow hitman Jules in the third storyline involved Bruce Willis as a boxer. Upon its release, the film became successful both critically and commercially.

Pulp Fiction won the prestigious Palme d’Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 1994 and received seven Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Director.

After working on a series of successful films, in the year 2003, Tarantino has set his focus on martial arts films titled ‘Kill Bill’. The film’s plot revolves around a female assassin known as the Bride (Thurman) who seeks to kill those involved in the savage attack on her and her wedding party. The film was released in two films. Kill Bill: Vol. 1 was released in late 2003, with Kill Bill: Vol. 2 following a few months later. Upon its release, the film became a successful venture at the box office.

Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained’:

In the year 2012 Tarantino achieved massive success with the film titled Western Django Unchained. The film had a brilliant cast including Jamie Foxx who played the role of Django, a freed slave who teams up with a bounty hunter played by Christoph Waltz to search for his wife, played by Kerry Washington. The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio. Tarantino went on to win the Academy Award for best original screenplay for Django Unchained.

Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood:

In the year 2019, Tarantino teamed up with DiCaprio and Pitt for the film titled ‘Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood’. The film was reviewed positively by critics and it also received a seven-minute standing ovation Cannes Film Festival. The film also won Golden Globe awards for Best Screenplay and Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Tarantino dated Daniella Pick who’s the daughter of Israeli singer and songwriter Tzvika Pick. The couple got engaged in 2017 and they got married in the following year in Los Angeles. The couple has a son whom they named Leo.
