Christopher Nolan is a globally acclaimed film director and screenwriter who predominantly work in the Hollywood film industry. Christopher Nolan was born on July 30, 1970, in London, England. His mother was from America and his father was from Britain. Nolan then worked on the Batman sequel, The Dark Knight which was released in July 2008. From having a brilliant cast who gave stellar performances to rich production house, the film received an avalanche of acclaim, including several Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. Heath Ledger who brilliantly played the negative iconic character of the Joker won a Golden Globe and Oscar posthumously for his work but the actor died before the release of the film due to accidental prescription drug overdose, and Nolan accepted the Globe award on Ledger’s behalf.
Nolan’s next film ‘Inception’, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as the leader of a group of dream-traveling mercenaries went on to become a successful venture with high praise for Nolan’s brilliant direction. In 2017, Nolan directed an epic war film Dunkirk which was based on World War II.
