Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. He was the only child of Irmelin, a legal secretary born in Germany, and George DiCaprio who is a comic book artist. His parents got divorced when he was still a toddler and since then he was raised by his mother and was also very close to his father. DiCaprio developed his interest in acting at a very young age and he liked to imitate other people and used to do homemade skits for fun. He ventured into a mainstream acting career at a very young age but he didn’t have much success in Hollywood until he reached his early teens.
