André René Roussimoff (given name) was born on May 19, 1946, and passed away on January 27, 1993. He was a French professional wrestler and actor better known by his ring identity, André the Giant. Roussimoff was well-known for his enormous size and strength, which was caused by gigantism induced by an excess of growth hormone (acromegaly).

AfIn a 1967 French boxing film, Roussimoff started acting in movies in the 1970s and 1980s, making his US acting debut as a Sasquatch (“Bigfoot”) in a two-part episode of the television series The Six Million Dollar Man in 1976. Other television appearances include The Greatest American Hero, B. J. and the Bear, The Fall Guy, and Zorro in 1990. Roussimoff appeared in a number of films towards the end of his acting career.

He is most known as a professional wrestler for his career in WWE from 2002 to 2010, in 2014, and one final run from 2018 to 2019. He performs more than just professional wrestling. He is well recognized for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel cinematic world.

Bautista won six championships. He has appeared in The Man with the Iron Fist as Brass Body, and in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Drax the Destroyer and Drax the Conqueror, among other films.
