The title and first look image for the cop drama starring Ponram and Vijay Sethupathi were recently announced. The official name of the project is DSP, which was previously used as a working acronym for VJS46. Anukreethy Vas, a former Miss India World, will make her acting debut in the film, which will be released in December.

However, the authors have not yet revealed a particular release date. Imman, who is creating the film’s soundtrack, has disclosed that he worked on an essential song with legendary vocalist Udit Narayan. He’s shared a few photos from the studio and showed his joy on social media.

GV Prakash Kumar’s Idhu Enna Maayam featured his previous Tamil song, Machi Machi. Udit’s fans are awaiting the song’s release later this month. Senthil Ganesh will sing the song with debutant Vijay Muthupandi. Imman and Udit sang Baaga Unnara from Naan Avanillai 2 in 2009. Udit hasn’t released a Kollywood song in seven years.

The bulk of Ponram’s film scores have been written by Imman. Top-charting hits have been made of songs from their movies Rajini Murugan and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. Since this is Vijay Sethupathi and Ponram’s first time working together, DSP is also being met with much anticipation from the music community.

IMMAN posted a tweet on his Twitter account, “Wonderful Experience! Recorded Dear Udit Narayan sir after long years with dear Senthil Ganesh for Director Ponram’s DSP starring Vijay Sethupathy in the lead! Produced by Stonebench films! Female lead by AnuKeerthy!Lyric by Debutant Vijay Muthupandi! A #DImmanMusical Praise God!”
