According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water will last roughly three hours and ten minutes, reflecting the 13-year wait for the sequel.

Avatar 2 hopes to join the ranks of other longer Hollywood tentpoles that have performed well in theaters, such James Cameron’s Titanic and Avengers: Endgame (three hours and two minutes) (three hours and 14 minutes).

Cameron’s original Avatar, released in December 2009, has remained at the top of the charts all these years later. That picture was 29 minutes shorter than the sequel, which was two hours and 41 minutes long.

Early in September, Cameron traveled from New Zealand to the D23 Expo to showcase a few scenes from The Way of Water, which he also produced alongside his former Lightstorm coworker Jon Landau. Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Zoe Saldaa were present. In the segment, Cameron’s deep underwater work was prominently displayed.
