The movie “Kantara,” which was acted in and directed by the Kannada actor and director Rishab Shetty, is about to begin its journey on OTT platforms after receiving an overwhelming response from viewers. Yesterday Amazon Prime and filmmaker Rishab shared a poster of the film with a comment on Instagram, “putting an end to all the wait!!!#KantaraOnPrime, out tomorrow.”
Many south Indian movies, such as ‘Baahubali,’ ‘KGF,’ ‘Pushpa,’ ‘Karthikeya 2,’ and now ‘Kantara,’ have received praise from critics all over the world for the incredible quality of their content over the past couple of years.
‘Kantara,’ directed by Rishab Shetty, was released on September 30 to acclaim for its plot and stunning cinematography. Rishab Shetty, Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, and Kishore, an actor from the south, feature as the main characters in the film “Kantara,” which was produced by Hombale Films. Kantara will be accessible on Amazon Prime beginning November 24 in four languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Kantara is a drama that takes place in a made-up village in the state of Dakshina Kannada. The story centres on a character named Shetty, who plays a Kambala champion and competes in a match against an honourable Forest Range officer.
Kantara, which was created on a 16-crore budget and became an all-time blockbuster, has grossed 400 crore (and growing) since its September debut. Kantara made 168.50 crores in domestic and international markets. Karnataka’s gross was 60 Cr, Andhra Pradesh/was Telangana’s 60 Cr, Tamil Nadu’s was 12.70 Cr, Kerala’s was 19.20 Cr, North India’s was 96 Cr, and overseas’s was 44.50 Cr.
