“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” on Netflix set a record.

Following in the footsteps of Squid Game and All of Us Are Dead, Money Heist: Korea has conquered the world by accomplishing a significant milestone on Netflix in less than a week after its debut. The adaptation, like the premise of the blockbuster Spanish series, adds another dimension of Korean culture to the popular series.

Following the success of Squid Game and All of Us Are Dead, this would be South Korea’s third film to make a huge impression on the worldwide record on Netflix. Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area debuted on Netflix on June 24, 2022. The Korean adaptation of La Casa de Papel made an impact on Netflix in just a week.

Money Heist: Korea joins other famous K-dramas published in the first half of this year that has achieved a similar feat on Netflix, including Business Proposal, Juvenile Justice, All Of Us Are Dead, and others. This would be another entry from South Korea that would make a significant impact on the international stage.

According to Variety, Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area has risen to the top of Netflix’s Global Non-English top 10 lists in the previous week. The series accomplished this in three days, from June 20 to June 26. It apparently received over 33.7 million hours of viewing time and ranked first in nations such as South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.
