Randeep Hooda releases his first glimpse from Savarkar’s biography on his birthday.


Swatantra Veer Savarkar was a politician, social activist, and author. He is credited with developing the Hindu nationalist political philosophy known as Hindutva. In the village of Bhagur, which is located in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was born on May 28th, 1883. He died in Bombay on February 26, 1966.

Randeep Hooda has unveiled the first glimpse of himself from the forthcoming biographical flick on Swatantra Veer Savarkar. Randeep Hooda will portray Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in the biopic Swatantra Veer Savarkar. The film will shortly go into production. On May 28, the 139th birth anniversary of Veer Savarkar, the filmmakers released the first glimpse of Randeep Hooda as the independence warrior. Mahesh Manjrekar will direct the film.

Randeep Hooda wrote on social media, “Verified This is a salute to one of the tallest unsung heroes of India’s struggle for freedom and self-actualization. I hope I can live up to the challenge of filling such big shoes of a truly revolutionary and tell his real story which had been brushed under the carpet for so long. Wishing you all a very Happy #VeerSavarkarJayanti!.”
