Doctor G’s teaser emerged on Tuesday, delighting Ayushmann Khurrana fans. In the film, he plays a gynaecology medical student. Finding it a job for women, he moves to orthopaedics. What follows is a funny and cringy journey as he takes on the part, then risks a woman’s life because he’s bored. Shefali Shah and Rakul Preet Singh feature in Anubhuti Kashyap’s directorial debut.
Ayushmann is beaten in the Doctor G trailer for molesting his wife during a checkup. He begs his female peers to transfer departments. How would he handle organs he doesn’t have? His girlfriend, presumably, tells him he’ll never succeed in ortho since he has no spine. Dejected, he rejoins Dr. Nandini’s class (Shefali Shah). Dr. Nandini tells him to remove his manly touch to fit in with his female colleagues and biassed patients.
Rakul Preet Singh plays a doctor’s love interest who requests him to spank her. She and other female physicians also deliver Ayushmann. The film is like any other Ayushmann comedy, with relevant topics handled with humour.
You’ll either chuckle or cringe at the trailer’s awful comedy in the following few minutes. “Nipple se doodh nikal raha hai” and “Ladkiyon ke gupt ang dekhte ho” are nasty dialogues.
Ayushmann Khurrana posted on his instagram handle,“Gynaecology department ki har ek naari, padegi #DoctorG pe bhaari! #DoctorG will attend to you in theatres from 14th October 2022 #DoctorGTrailer out now!”
