The trailer for Mithali Raj’s life tale, Shabaash Mithu

The movie is based on the real-life experiences of Mithali Dorai Raj while she was leading the Indian women’s cricket team. She was born on December 3rd, 1982. She was a member of the Indian national women’s cricket team from 1999 to 2022, and she captained the team from 2004 until 2022. Mithali is the highest run-scorer in the history of women’s international cricket, and she is widely considered to be one of the most accomplished female cricket players ever.

In 2005, Mithali was given the role of India’s captain on a permanent basis. She is the first female player to have ever led India in more than one ICC One-Day International World Cup final, having done so twice (in 2005 and 2017).

In Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee Pannu portrays Mithali Raj, a former cricketer, and the film chronicles the story of her ascent to success despite the challenges she faced via an engaging narrative.

Mithali Raj shared the trailer and wrote, “One game, One nation, One ambition… My Dream! Grateful to the team & excited to share my story with you all!”.
