
Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, often known as Krishna in Telugu, died on November 15. He was 79. His first wife’s children, Mahesh Babu, Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarshini, and his second wife, actor-filmmaker Vijaya Nirmala, survive him. Indira died on September 28th of this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi both expressed their condolences on the death of the Telegu icon. PM Modi expressed his condolences for Krishna’s death on Twitter, “Krishna Garu was a legendary superstar, who won the hearts of people through his versatile acting and lively personality. His demise is a colossal loss to the world of cinema and entertainment. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with @urstrulyMahesh and his entire family. Om Shanti,” he wrote.
K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has expressed his condolences over the passing of the well-known actor and producer. The Chief Minister stated that the loss of Krishna, who appeared in more than 350 films and left an indelible mark on the hearts of moviegoers, is a significant blow to the Telugu film industry. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also expressed his condolences and grief over Krishna’s death. He turned to Twitter to say that the late actor was Andhra Pradesh’s “James Bond.” His death, he wrote, is a great loss not only to the Telugu film industry, but also to the people of the state who loved him. Reddy also penned, “May God give strength to Mahesh and Krishnagari’s family in this difficult time.”
Throughout his remarkable cinematic career, Krishna appeared in a number of successful films, some of them including, Gudachari 116, Manchi Kutumbam, Lakshmi Nivasam, Vichitra Kutumbam, Devadasu, Bhale Krishnudu, and Guru Sishyulu.
