Seetharama Shastry’s Early Life
Sirivennela Seetharama Shastry, hailing from Visakhapatnam is born in the year 1955. He was a brilliant student but had to drop out from Andhra Medical College due to his low financial status. He took up some odd jobs to support his living like working in the state-owned Telephone department but all along, he used to write brilliant poems which received everyone’s appreciation.
Seetharama Shastry’s Film Career:
Seetharama Sastry made his debut in the Telugu film industry by working as a lyricist for Kasinathuni Viswanath. His first-ever release as a lyricist was the film titled ‘Janani Janmabhoomi’ released in 1984. At the beginning of his career, his pen name was Ch Seeta Rama Sastry.
Seetharama Shastry’s ‘Sirivennela’:
He got the name Sirivennela Seetharama Shastry after the release of the film titled ‘Sirivennela’. The film’s songs were a massive hit and are remembered by film lovers even to this day. This movie’s name was added to his label. The movie’s songs were considered an evergreen classic. One of the most outstanding songs in the Telugu film industry “Vidhata Thalapuna,” was from this movie. The song performed by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and P.Susheela is considered as a milestone in Telugu cinema. For his brilliant work in this film, Sirivennela received the Nandi Award.

Sitarama Sastri got married to Padmavati and the couple has two sons and one daughter. His elder son Yogeswara Sharma is a music producer, and his younger son Raja is an actor. He also adopted Krishna Vamsi by the traditional Hindu method.
